  • A copy of papers related to the dismissal of Dr. James McClelland as superintendent of Polk State School and Hospital. Papers include a letter from Public Welfare Secretary Helene Wohlgemuth to Dr. James McClelland informing him of his removal, a news story following the decision, and a memo from Wohlgemuth to the superintendents of other state institutions informing them that the use of cages/pens and any de-humanizing methods used by employees will no longer be tolerated.
