  • A scan of a letter from Mrs. Shirley Bugos expressing her support for the dismissal of Dr. James McClelland as director of Polk State School and Hospital. Following a surprise visit to Polk State School and Hospital, state welfare secretary Helene Wohlgemuth removed Dr. James McClelland as director. PARC supported this decision. As president of PARC, Clapp received numerous letters that criticized and praised the organization's stance on the matter.
