  • Within ten years after the completion of School Building No. 1 in 1896, it became apparent that the growing community would need more school space, and in 1906 Public School No. 2 was built. This 3-story, red-brick structure was razed in1962 when modernization costs proved prohibitive. The site would later become a playground.
