The collection depicts street scenes; businesses and industries (in particular the Pennsylvania Railroad); people; homes; schools and churches; sports, and community organizations, events, and activities throughout the years. The Pitcairn Historical Society was originally founded in 1999 as a non-profit organization of volunteers dedicated to historic preservation, and the education of the community regarding our common historic heritage.
