The Pitcairn Historical Society's Photo Archives consists of images which illustrate the history of the Borough of Pitcairn, Pennsylvania between ca.1885-2011. The collection depicts street scenes; businesses and industries (in particular the Pennsylvania Railroad); people; homes; schools and churches; sports, and community organizations, events, and activities throughout the years. The entire collection is online.

The Pitcairn Historical Society was originally founded in 1999 as a non-profit organization of volunteers dedicated to historic preservation, and the education of the community regarding our common historic heritage.
Historic Pittsburgh is a collaborative effort from multiple institutions in the Greater Pittsburgh region and is hosted by the University of Pittsburgh’s Library System.
