Description
Jack Scarry played water polo for the Army in 1918 and would go on to coach several women through the Homestead Library Athletic Club Swim Team to National, International and Olympic swimming success. One of his most successful swimmers, Lenore Kight competed in the 1932 Los Angeles Summer Olympics, taking home a silver medal in the 400m freestyle event. She would continue her success at the 1936 Berlin Summer Olympics, winning bronze in the 400m freestyle event. Throughout her amateur career Lenore Kight would set 7 world and 24 U.S. Records.
