  • Paula Friez, on left, and a friend stand for a photograph at the Blue Dell pool. The Blue Dell was located three miles east of McKeesport on the Lincoln Highway, Route 30. The Blue Dell had a pool, a children's playground, a diner and a drive-in movie theater. In 1953, multiple suits were filed against the pool after the locker room floor collapsed, sending forty people plunging into the basement beneath. The pool closed in 1984.
