  • All the contestants for the 1927 Miss Pittsburgh Beauty Pageant line up to begin their march across the Willows' Pool to be judged. The Willows originally started out as a hopping night club that featured all the big name bands of the day and fine dining. The swimming pool would not open until 1926. Oakmonters enjoyed dining, boating and partying at the Willows despite prohibition of the 1920s.
