  • Oakmont High School's graduating class every year would paint their graduation year on this concrete retaining wall, located behind the old high school building on Fifth Street and Pennsylvania. On the wall here are the graduation years 1948-1953. The tradition ended in 1961 because the building on Fifth Street was converted into an elementary school, Gilmore School. The high school moved to the Tenth Street School building, which had no retaining wall fit for this purpose.
