Description
Conveniently for citizens of Oakmont, the shoe store, on left, was located right next door to a store offering shoe shines and shoe repairs. Both of these businesses are located on Allegheny Avenue near Maryland Avenue. The proprietor of the latter store stands in the doorway of his shop, wearing a black apron to protect his clothes from the shoe shining polish. To the right of the shoe repair shop is the house of the J. M. Witherspoon family. Originally from the collection of Vince Provenza.
