Description
Quite a large group of people stands outside the Oakmont Station, waiting on the approaching train. The waiting group consists primarily of adults, but there are a couple of children, one of whom brings along a bicycle. The station was located between Delaware and Maryland Avenues along Allegheny Avenue. The Pennsylvania Railroad conducted service out to Oakmont and into Pittsburgh until the late 1960s. After service was discontinued, it was demolished in June of 1970. Originally from the Oakmont Centennial Book Collection.
