  • Description
  • In 1925 a fire destroyed the Oakmont Bell Telephone Company Office and cut off all phone service to Oakmont residents. The phone company set up a call center in the Oakmont Station and massagers waited in line to pick up transcribed phone messages and deliver them to Oakmont residences and businesses.
