Description
Laborers at the Verona Planing Mill take a moment out of their workday to pose for a photograph. The planing mill was located at the end of First Street in Verona near to Oakmont. After it closed it was used by the Wire Rope Company until it eventually burned down. Lue Anderson's father worked here as a young man and is believed to be the man at the far right in the first row. He would go onto to own his own carpentry shop where he built mantels and other fine woodwork products. Originally from the Lue Anderson Collection.
