Description
A long tent alongside several smaller buildings served the soldiers as they trained for World War I. A training camp was set up in Oakmont, off of Hulton Road, to help train Pennsylvania soldiers for World War I. Luckily, many of these soldiers probably never saw battle- this photograph was taken in August 1918 and Germany surrendered on Armistice Day, November 11 1918.
