  • Two employees stand outside Kokales' Market. The sign above the doorway labels this market a Clover Farm Store, as does another one in the window. The window also announces sales on coffee, soap and Salada Tea. Pyramids of goods entice shoppers from both inside the shop window and from the street. The Kokales family opened their market, located at 154 Allegheny River Boulevard, in May 1921 and remained open until 1979.
