Description
The front window of Gasparich's Market advertises various meats and their current prices. For example, a freshly dressed hen cost only 39 cents a pound. A banner above the meat prices declares Johnny's Food Market and has Pepsi Cola emblems on each side. The door advertises Cott Cola and some special sales at the market. The market was located at 850 Allegheny River Boulevard and opened in the early 1920s (exact dates vary). Gasparich's remained in business until 1962.
