Description
Days after the St. Patrick's Day Flood hit Oakmont, slushy water remains on the streets, although the water has abated. In this photo, the foreground part of Oakmont Avenue (now Allegheny River Boulevard) has almost no water left on it, but, further down the road, the water remains somewhat deep. An abandoned car sits on the left of the road, likely there since the flooding began, but now only with a slushy combination of water and snow partway up its wheels. To the left of the car, Reed's Apartments is visible. Over 130 buildings were damaged in Oakmont alone.
