Description
Two levels of buildings are visible in this image: those on top of a hill and those at the bottom. The houses atop the hill suffer from snow alone, whereas the ones that abut the hill are both snowy and flooded. In front of the buildings are a number of curious round objects in a row in the water, which are probably the tops of the gas pumps of the Pennzoil gas station. Rows of telephone poles stand in the water. Over 130 buildings were damaged in Oakmont alone.
