Description
Taken during the St. Patrick's Day flood of 1936, the left-hand side of this photograph captures a tower, the lower parts of which have been steeped in water. The trees in the background reveal the height of the water. In the foreground, remnants of snow remain on the ground, despite the flood. The flood caused damage to over 130 buildings in structures in the Oakmont area alone. Originally from the Moss Collection.
