Description
This early photograph of Oakmont's business district showing the James G. Foster Grocery Store, First National Bank, and the W.C. Wolfe Druggist. The First National Bank of Oakmont was started in 1905 by local residents. The bank originated in the basement of the Oakmont Carnegie Library and moved to Allegheny Avenue a few years later. The building is now Hofstott's Restaurant. Originally from the collection of Dorothy Grubbs.
