  • Built in 1917, the Oakmont Borough Building is located on 5th St and Virginia Ave. The building holds the borough offices, the police station and the jail. The fire station was also housed in the building from 1921 to 1962. When first built, the building included new steel jail cells, because a prisoner has escaped from the old wooden jail after filing the wooden bars.
