  • A view of Bard's storefront at night. Bard's was an early version of the supermarket. It was a convenience store, restaurant, deli and ice cream parlor all in one. Individuals shopped at Bard's for lunch meat and cheese, milk, ice cream, and could dine in for breakfast, lunch or dinner. In this photo one can easily see the store's lights and advertisements for ice cream, dairy products, banana splits, lunch services and deli services. Originally from the collection of Keith McAuly.
