- Records include architectural blueprints, construction and mechanical notes, personal profile reports, and photographs documenting buildings, the living and working conditions in downtown Pittsburgh where Gateway Center was constructed in the 1950s. Of note are photographs that document the interiors and exteriors of the building at Pittsburgh's Point in 1950. A list of buildings included in these records may be found in the inventory., Gateway Center was a cornerstone of Pittsburgh's sweeping urban renewal program after World War II. Located on 23 acres adjacent to Point State Park in downtown Pittsburgh, these buildings were financed by Equitable Life Assurance Society and built in the mid 1950s., Gift of Ralph Demmler in 1993., Processed MSS# 130 9/16/96 R.
