Description
A handwritten note about family necrology. The note reads as follows, "My Fathers family left this country Tuesday the 27th of October 1801—for the Miamies. I took my leave of them Thursday morning at the crossings of the Juniata. My sister Casandra departed this life on Friday the 23rd of September 1803. My Father departed this life on Friday mornin the 7th of October 1803. My sister Polly Wingate departed this life on Tuesday the 1th of June 1807." The letter on the rear reads, "Dear Brother, ⸺ by this paper that they ⸺ with many of the family ⸺ are yours ⸺going now, ⸺; - - let me hear from you. Affectionately, ⸺"
