Wood of the Amusement Park Management, a publication about amusement parks, tells the reader about improvements for the 1929 season including an amplification system to broadcast messages across the park. Kennywood also notes the benefits of opening early in the season, establishment of a picnic promotion department, and an annual end-of-season "Mardi Gras" festival at the park, which became known as "Fall Fantasy" in later years. The writer also mentions a new Kiddieland ride from W.F. Mangels of Coney Island, NY.
