  • A woman is mid-dive in this photo. She has leaped almost straight out from the diving board to perform a simple dive. A man waits on the platform for his turn to dive. This photo was taken at the Blue Dell's swimming pool. The Blue Dell was located three miles east of McKeesport on the Lincoln Highway, Route 30. The Blue Dell had a pool, a children's playground, a diner and a drive-in movie theater. In 1953, multiple suits were filed against the pool after the locker room floor collapsed, sending forty people plunging into the basement beneath. The pool closed in 1984.
