  • A cut-out representation of Mary Millnack, Miss Pittsburgh 1927. The 1927 staging of the Miss Pittsburgh Beauty Pageant was held at the Willows Pool in Oakmont. The Willows originally started out as a hopping night club that featured all the big name bands of the day and fine dining. The swimming pool would not open until 1926. Oakmonters enjoyed dining, boating and partying at the Willows despite prohibition of the 1920s.
