Description
The Miss Pittsburgh Pageant of 1927 opened with pomp, circumstance and trumpeters! Two ladies in costume lead the way playing old-fashioned straight trumpets. Behind them is a man in costume, although it is somewhat unclear whether he is a shepherd, a religious figure, royalty, or all three. Behind these three is the Willows Pool where the Miss Pittsburgh Pageant was held. The audience lines the other side of the pool.
