  • Another photograph of the 1936 St. Patrick's Day Flood taken from the railroad tracks, which were high enough to stay above water. The snowy tracks were a popular place for Oakmonters to survey the damage done to their town. A house's roof alone can be seen, the rest of the building entirely submerged. A number of people use the bridge as a vantage point as well. Snow and debris are also apparent. Over 130 buildings were damaged in Oakmont alone.
