Description
The focus of this image, taken during 1936's St. Patrick's Day Flood, rests on a wooden fence, only partially visible due to the flooding. Part of the fence, on higher ground, is entirely visible, while another section is completely submerged. The foreground shows railroad tracks and the snowy ground. Over 130 buildings were damaged in Oakmont alone.
