Description
This image shows Oakmont Avenue, now known as Allegheny River Boulevard, and Plum Street during the 1936 flood. On the lest appears to be a mostly flooded gas station, based on the signage. In the background, the people of Oakmont stand along the railroad tracks, examining the damage. The flood caused damage to over 130 buildings in structures in the Oakmont area alone.
