Description
Dr. Thomas R. Kerr. Opened in 2002, the Kerr Memorial Museum is a representative house Museum of Pittsburgh‚ÇÖs middle class from the late Victorian period that gives its visitors a chance to experience the life of a professional family at the turn of the century. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places by the U.S. Department of the Interior, the Museum is owned by the Borough of Oakmont and operated by a Borough-appointed commission, as chartered by Borough Ordinance. The Museum consists of the Kerr Family home (1897) and adjoining small medical office (1905) at the home of corner of 4th Street and Delaware Avenue in Oakmont, PA. The entire first and second floors of the home, in addition to the restored basement are open for public and special group tours.
