Description
Hayden’s Restaurant, located at 3621 Fifth Avenue, was operated by Walter and Ann Hayden. The Time Shop, which specialized in time pieces, was operated by Sigmund Goldberg and was located next door at 3623 Fifth Avenue in Pittsburgh’s Oakland neighborhood. The large structure in the right background is Presbyterian University Hospital located within a complex of medical buildings known as the University of Pittsburgh Health Center. The Tie Shop and Beauty Parlor were razed shortly after this photograph was taken as part of the Pittsburgh Urban Redevelopment Project.
