About Edna M. Parkins Berg and Carl Berg.

Edna M. Parkins was born in 1897. She attended Southwestern State Normal School (now PennWest University at California) and married Carl Berg (b. 1893) on October 13, 1920. They resided in Roscoe, Washington County, Pa. During 1921, Edna and Carl Berg kept a daily diary recording their activities. In June 1921, Edna discovered that she was expecting a baby. In addition to their preparations for the baby, the couple participated in frequent social gatherings, did housework, and were active in the church. The couple had one daughter, Sara Louise Berg Blosser (1922-2004). The family later lived in Clairton, Allegheny County, Pa, and Carl Berg worked as an educator. Carl Berg died in 1965, and Edna M. Parkins Berg died in 1975.
