New Collections added from Detre Library & Archives

The Detre Library & Archives of the Heinz History Center has added several image collections to Historic Pittsburgh. Images from the D. L. Clark Company Records focus on products, displays, the Clark Building, advertisements, and promotional events. The Paul Lawrence Peeler Papers and Photographs include depictions of Peeler with choirs and ensembles throughout his career as a musician and educator. The Schnabel Company Photographs contain images of customized trucks, employees constructing trucks, and company events. The Harold V. Cohen Photographs document Cohen’s life and career as a theater and movie critic for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. The Camp Johnson Photographs depict campers, counselors, and staff participating in summer camp activities and events at Camp James Weldon Johnson in Beaver County. The United States Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District Glass Plate Negatives primarily focus on the construction of bridges, locks and dams, and other projects along the Allegheny, Monongahela, Ohio, and Youghiogheny rivers in Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
