American Air Surveys, Inc. was located at 907 Penn Avenue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, with branch offices in Atlanta, Georgia, and Manhasset, New York. The company's projects included creating aieral photoraphs from which tax maps were prepared.

Scope and Content Notes

The American Air Surveys, Inc. Photographs consist of approximately 200 9x9 black and white aerial photographs of Allegheny County. They were photographed by American Air Surveys, Inc. in March of 1962. Locations visible in the photographs include Pittsburgh's Downtown, the Lower Hill District, and the North Side. There are serial numbers on the upper right corner of each image.

Arrangement

The collection is arranged into three folders, in numerical order according to the serial number in the upper right corner of each photograph.
