Claire Hahn was born in Pittsburgh, Pa. on June 16, 1927, to Isaac and Emma Bloom. She graduated from Winchester-Thurston School in 1945 and from Vassar College. Throughout the nineteen-fifties and sixties, she was a member of ORT and of LHAS.
Jerome Hahn was born in Pittsburgh, Pa. on July 17, 1924, to David and Elsa Hahn. He served in World War II as a seaman and graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1947.
Jerome and Claire Hahn married in 1950 and had three children: Janet, James and Andrew.
The collection is stored in one oversized archival box. It includes event programs, photographs of ORT events, two editions of ORT Reports, a World War II ration book and a scrapbook. The photographs include images of David L. Lawrence dedicating a bus dubbed "The ORTmobile." The scrapbook was compiled by ORT member Mrs. J. Lester Herrup and documents ORT events, mostly from 1954-1955. It includes editions of ORT Reports, news clippings, photographs and invitations.
