- Claire Hahn was a member of the Pittsburgh Chapter of Women's American Organization for Rehabilitation through Training (ORT) and of the Ladies' Hospital Aid Society (LHAS). Her other activities included membership in the Westmoreland Country Club with her husband, Jerome P. Hahn. The collection consists of event programs, an ORT scrapbook, a World War II ration book, and photographs.

Claire Hahn was born in Pittsburgh, Pa. on June 16, 1927, to Isaac and Emma Bloom. She graduated from Winchester-Thurston School in 1945 and from Vassar College. Throughout the nineteen-fifties and sixties, she was a member of ORT and of LHAS.
Jerome Hahn was born in Pittsburgh, Pa. on July 17, 1924, to David and Elsa Hahn. He served in World War II as a seaman and graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1947.
Jerome and Claire Hahn married in 1950 and had three children: Janet, James and Andrew.
Scope and Content Notes
The collection is stored in one oversized archival box. It includes event programs, photographs of ORT events, two editions of ORT Reports, a World War II ration book and a scrapbook. The photographs include images of David L. Lawrence dedicating a bus dubbed "The ORTmobile." The scrapbook was compiled by ORT member Mrs. J. Lester Herrup and documents ORT events, mostly from 1954-1955. It includes editions of ORT Reports, news clippings, photographs and invitations.
