  • In a snapshot, students perform a Morris Dance for May Day. Begun around 1900, the annual festival was not presented after this special effort in 1947. Festivities included strolling performers, musicians, and a "Foolscap" themed pageant written by Dr. Phyllis Marschall Ferguson, professor of drama. Newspapers ran special features and department stores mounted window displays of "what to wear to PCW May Day."
