  • Description
  • Students in Elizabethan costume dance in the annual May Day festivities. The 1916 pageant, arranged and directed by Vanda E. Kerst, head of the expression department, took the form of a Shakespeare festival in celebration of the tercentenary of the bard's death. The festivities included a performance of A Midsummer Night's Dream by the senior class. Over 5,000 people attended.
