Description
Students in Elizabethan costume dance in the annual May Day festivities. The 1916 pageant, arranged and directed by Vanda E. Kerst, head of the expression department, took the form of a Shakespeare festival in celebration of the tercentenary of the bard's death. The festivities included a performance of A Midsummer Night's Dream by the senior class. Over 5,000 people attended.
