  • In 1984, Chatham's Spring Weekend festivities had a Roaring Twenties theme. On Friday, May 1, an all-campus Great Gatsby Gala was held in Benedum Hall. Julie Hillebrand, writing in the student newspaper, proclaimed, "Come in costume and start reliving the days of bathtub gin and speakeasy..." Pictured are two costumed partygoers from the class of 1984, Julie Shinko and Alllison Mitchell.
