Description
The Pennsylvania Railroad Company’s freight warehouses during the final stages of construction. The 1700-foot long warehouses, one two-story and the other a one-story structure, were designed by architects Larsen and Donnells. The modern buildings were fireproof and contained an extensive sprinkler system. In the background is the 985-foot long Pittsburgh, Fort Wayne and Chicago Railway Bridge No. 1, also known as the Fort Wayne Railroad Bridge, which was erected in 1904.
