Description
In the early years of the twentieth century, H.J. Heinz Company pickle barrels were common in grocery stores, delicatessens, and at lunch counters. Customers had their choice of sweet, dill, or sour spiced pickles. Other Heinz products, shown here in the background, included soups, baked beans, ketchup, and other members of the family of “57 Varieties.”
