  • Description
  • The Time Office, shown here (the small building with the rotunda in the middle of the court), was where H.J. Heinz Company employees clocked in and out, with the male and female employees using separate doors and facilities. This building also served as the company’s hiring office. The auditorium, located in the large building to the right of the Time Office, was an excellent example of the dedication of the Heinz company to maintain employee morale and provide for the general well being of its workers. The auditorium was home to evening lectures and other forms of entertainment featuring both local and imported talent. This roomy theater was also the location of a big Christmas tree where the employees exchanged gifts during the holiday season.
