Description
Dr. Richard T. Turfley and his nephew George T. Dorsey, standing outside a medical facility in Korea. Turfley served as a Captain the Medical Corps of U.S. Army during the Korean War. A graduate of Howard University, Turfley worked at Woodville State Hospital and John Kane Hospital. A noted basketball player, Turfley played on teams for the Centre Avenue YMCA, Schenley High School, and Lincoln University.
