A blow-torch cuts a steel slab at a Jones & Laughlin Steel Corporation facility. At the Cold Finished Products Department rounds, squares, hexagons, flats, and special shapes were produced. The Jones & Laughlin Steel Corporation’s Pittsburgh Works, located in Pittsburgh’s South Side neighborhood, was abandoned in the late 1980s and in the early 1990s the site was razed for redevelopment.
