  • Southern view of the straightening and cutting-off building of the Jones & Laughlin Steel Corporation’s Seamless Tube Mill No. 2, Aliquippa Works. Tubes produced in the mill were conveyed on cooling racks to the finishing floor for straightening, then routed to cutting-off machines followed by inspection, seam grinding, and other finishing operations necessary to meet customer requirements. In April 1982, the Seamless Tube Department was shut down.
