Description
The corner of Wood Street and Fourth Avenue in downtown Pittsburgh. In the foreground is a 1713 Series All-Electric PCC (Trolley Car) built in 1948-1949. Pittsburgh Railways Company (PRC), formed in 1902, operated Pittsburgh’s vast electric trolley network until 1964, when the system was turned over to the Port Authority of Allegheny County.
