Description
Seen from the Point, a solitary man walks along what was once a street in downtown Pittsburgh. The Hilton Hotel (left center) blocks the view of the first three Gateway Center buildings. The Portal Bridge (center, behind the chimney) was completed in 1963 and was designed by architects Charles and Edward Stotz. The entire area in the foreground was to become Point State Park.
