Description
The Board of Education Administration Building is located at the corner of Forbes Avenue and Bellefield Streets in the Oakland section of Pittsburgh. The building, designed by architects Ingham and Boyd, has been described as a graceful Renaissance palace featuring a quiet garden court in the middle. The general contractor for this project was August Conradis. Behind the building (center right) is the Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church on Bellefield Street. Located to the left of the Administration Building is the former YMHA and Webster Hall Hotel.
