Description
Taken from the “Bluff,” this photograph shows the intersection of Forbes Avenue and Sixth Avenue (left background) leading to the Liberty Bridge approach. The section of homes (center) were razed to make way for Duquesne University’s Rockwell Hall, which opened in 1958. New classroom buildings, dormitories, athletic facilities, and parking garages have increased Duquesne’s campus by more than 100 percent since the end of World War II.
