Description
Taken from Mercy Hospital looking west toward Mount Washington and Duquesne Heights (background), this photograph shows the early stages of the redevelopment of the Duquesne University campus. The building on the left foreground is Saint Martins’ Hall, a dormitory for male students that opened in September of 1962. The building on the right foreground is Saint Anne’s Hall East, a dormitory for women that opened in September of 1963. In the center background, the Duquesne University Administration Building is visible in the distance. In the background to the right is downtown Pittsburgh.
